Last weekend I got to host a summer solstice dinner party for some close friends in my backyard themed around the color blue. I shared about the history of the color blue and we all got to enjoy a meal made by Hannah.
My love of hosting and gathering people together started years ago in my backyard with these friends.Long summer nights with loved ones gathered around the table, the clank of dishes, and the hum of conversation fills me with so much joy. It was nice to host something intentional for my friends as a reminder of what Ritual Abode is about. Connecting with people around a table, sharing conversation, time, and building relationships.
The table linens were all indigo dyed by me.
Hannah Cooked a full course dinner and banana split ice cream bar for dessert with homemade blue ice cream!
The guests wore all blue!
If you would like to learn about the history of the color blue and why humans have been so obsessed with it for hundreds of years. Here is a link to a article I shared some facts from at dinner.
