On Friday we had the honor of hosting our last event of the year. Ten women gathered around the table, eating Lebanese food, and conversing about family. It was the biggest group I have had this year and the conversation flowed really beautifully. Several woman said they almost did not come because it was out of their comfort zones to come to an event where they came solo not knowing anyone. It was cool see everyone showing up even if they were nervous or excited, then watch as the topic began to unfold, comfort and ease settled over the group. It was a tender and emotional night where we all learned from each others stories and life experiences. The ages of the women who attended spanned four decades of lived experiences. Everyone was so mindful, listened with so much compassion, and shared mixed life stories with such grace. It is truly such an blessing for me to share these spaces with everyone who attended. To witness the beauty and depth that each person brings as they participate in creating the evening.
For this event we got to have a friend, Georgia Storm take photos which was so nice to have someone to document the night.
Hannah helped me prepare the Lebanese food and all the flowers I sourced from a small farm off LOVR that has no name but lots of amazing flowers.
